JEFFERSON COUNTY, N.Y. -- Crews are investigating a fire in the Town of Antwerp that heavily damaged a home and blocked traffic on a portion of Route 11 Thursday evening.
Smoke could be seen pouring from the house as firefighters battled the flames.
A number of departments responded to the scene, including two from St. Lawrence County.
Crews say a portion of Route 11 was shut down for nearly an hour.
The house was part of the Beartown Farms complex, a producer of grass-fed beef and lamb. There were no reported injuries to people or animals.
Investigators are still looking into what caused the fire.
