SAN JOSE -- Some SU fans watching us this morning may not have stayed up to watch the entire SU game last night. We caught up with Orange fans both here in Central New York as well as San Jose.
Regardless of your location, if you're an SU fan you have to be happy with the way this tournament has started.
Out in sunny San Jose, there has been a strong contingent of Orange fans who have traveled out west to support Syracuse.
Some of the fans we spoke with are certainly happy they can now have a few more days to enjoy as the Orange prepare for their next game against Cal.
Fans believe last night's 47-point win is just what the Orange needed to keep the team's confidence high as it gears up for one more game out west.
Meanwhile, fans who were able to make the trip are enjoying every second of the experience.
Syracuse native Scott Hiller said, "I knew they'd be in the tournament. I didn't know where they'd end up, but ended up in the Bay area, and it's fantastic."
Syracuse native Todd Knapp said, "It's great to have them out here. Years and years ago when the Big East started, they were out here in California on Big Monday, and there's probably a really good Syracuse base of fans here."
Syracuse graduate Cara Fenn said, "There's definitely a lot of alumni in the area. So hopefully they're all going to try to make it to the game because we're 3,000 miles away from the Dome so this is about as close as we're going to get to a game."
There is plenty of sunshine out west so in addition to SU's success on the court, there's plenty to like about being in San Jose this time of year.
