SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Syracuse men's basketball team had its way against Montana in the second round of the NCAA tournament but the Orange is bracing for a bigger test in the third round against California.
The 12th-seeded Golden Bears are playing less than an hour from their campus and the crowd is expected to be heavily on the underdogs' side against the No. 4 Orange.
"Yeah they're going to have a crowd in there and we're just going to jump out there early and take that crowd out of the way" said SU sophomore guard Michael Carter-Williams. "We've dealt with the toughest crowds in the country. We went to Pittsburgh and Marquette. So, we're used to it."
Saturday's matchup is set for a 9:40 p.m. tipoff and it will be televised on TBS.
