Woman almost hits police car, charged with DWI

A Glens Falls woman is facing a DWI charge after she almost hit a parked police car.

According to the Post-Star, Valerie Lamphere, 37, was arrested early Tuesday morning.

Police said a Glens Falls police officer was out of his car writing a parking ticket on McDonald Street when he saw Lamphere almost hit his vehicle.

Lamphere was pulled over moments later on Dix Avenue. Police said her blood alcohol level was .14. Lamphere was released to appear in City Court.
