Local actress lends support
She's no stranger to a fight -- just look at what she did to Arnold Schwarzenegger in "Terminator 3."

But it's the fight against diabetes that brought Ghent native Kristanna Loken back to the Capital Region. She was the headliner at a celebrity cook-off for the Circle of Life Camp at Carmine's in Albany.

It's a nonprofit organization that has been helping children with diabetes for the past 10 years. The actress said she's happy to help, especially in a community that's so close to home.

"To be able to give back is what it's all about. I mean, to be able to reach a certain level and in turn create the success you've generated outward, is the best compliment you could get," said Loken.

Up next for Loken on the big screen is "BloodRayne" due out nationwide in January.
