United Way helping teens become better parents
SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The United Way is trying to help teenagers become better parents.

A meeting Wednesday night brought in teenage parents and those who are pregnant. The goal is to address topics like child abuse and child neglect.

Organizers say they want to make sure teens throughout the community can still get the help they need after having a child.

"Well it's a problem we've seen come up in the community over the last few months. We do know that there are many teenagers who are pregnant or who have children and we also know that there are many services available to them. What we are trying to do is to make sure we put them together," said United Way CNY President Frank Lazarski.
