Could a casino be coming to Ulster County?
The Times Union is reporting that the Seneca-Cayuga tribe of Oklahoma wants to build their casino in Saugerties.
Originally, Governor George Pataki cut a deal with the tribe to build their casino in Sullivan County, at the Concord Resort. But the Times Union reports there has been quiet negotiations about moving that location to the Winston farm just off of Exit 20 on the Thruway.
The new location would provide a more convenient commute from both New York City and Albany.
