CHITTENANGO, N.Y. -- More layoffs hit Central New York. ESCO Turbine Technologies announced it laid off 32 employees at its Chittenango manufacturing plant Wednesday. The company says the layoffs were necessary in order for it to match production to a declining global customer demand.
ESCO is a manufacturer of metal wear parts and components for mining, construction, power generation and aerospace applications.
About 400 people are employed at the Chittenango plant.
