When your child goes to college, some parents might feel like they lose communication, but Clarkson University is working on that. A partnership with the school and an internet broadcasting company called SurferNETWORK allows hockey games, classroom seminars, graduation ceremonies, and campus tours to be seen worldwide.
A group of student interns say they are also working on more projects like podcasting and website design.
Surfernet intern Chris Fohlin said, "It's mainly known as an engineering school, but the communication and media department, the business school are really some budding programs here at Clarkson, and for the world to see what Clarkson is doing is really a great opportunity."
Right now, the school isn't charging for video, but students are working on a subscription service.
