Blood drive at Clarkson
POSTDAM, N.Y. -- Clarkson University hosted a blood drive in the Cheel Campus Center Thursday. Students and community members came to support the American Red Cross of Northern New York Thursday.

Every pint of blood donated can help to save three lives and the Red Cross says universities play an important role in donations.

“We do a lot with the colleges. We have a lot of good responses. In the summer time when the colleges and the schools go kaput it's kinda’ low for us. Our colleges help us a lot.” said Anna Michel, Donor Specialist.

The Red Cross says it visits colleges in the North Country about every two months.
