SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- People across the region are enjoying the nice weather today but for students at Le Moyne College the sunny skies are cause for celebration. That's because its Dolphy Day, an annual spring tradition that gives students a chance to blow off some steam after a hard year of work.

The day is randomly selected by an appointed wizard and once the student body gets word, a campus wide celebration erupts featuring music games and a chance to relax.

"Last week we found out that Tuesday was going to be the warmest day so we all kind of expected today to be the day so last night we pretty much expected it and we came out here at about 2:30am and just waited for the wizard to come out and say it was Dolphy Day," said student Dan Thiebeault.

Dolphy Day has been going strong for more than 40 years.
