TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Ithaca man accused of shooting his neighbor was arraigned in Tompkins County court Friday.
Corbin Whyte, 26, pleaded not guilty to charges of second degree murder, robbery and tampering with evidence. Whyte is accused of shooting Paul Garcia, 47, in the chest last week.
Garcia was found dead in the parking lot of the Maple Hill apartments. One witness told investigators that Garcia and Whyte were having a dispute. The witness said the pair may have been trafficking drugs together.
Whyte is being held without bail in the Tompkins County Jail.
