TOMPKINS COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Tompkins County SPCA is once again caring for an animal left on its doorstep. Last week a passerby notified the SPCA emergency line that a dog was tied up outside of the Dorothy and Roy Park Pet Adoption Center. It happened very early in the morning.

When shelter officials arrived they found a Labrador-retriever mix with no ID, no food and water and underweight at about 60 pounds.

Back in early June, 14 adult cats crammed into two pet carriers were left on the doorstep.
