Training Week 10: Sharon BuMann
Time sure flies when you are having fun! I "bit the bullet" and did the open water swim at Jamesville Beach san wetsuit! AND, I am here to report, I did not drown... the ole cardio still isn't where I would like it, but I did the drills and the finale': the buoy swim from a major mass start... woooo hooooooooooooooooooooooooo, yes, yes yes! The water was great. The hip/ body rotation to a back float worked well. Confidence R US!

My training friend Nancy and I rode with "fast crowd" on Saturday. That was fun, about 26 miles at an average 15.5/ 16 + pace. I trailed until the last few miles and than passed a few people.... what a great feeling to yell, " on your left" and know you have enough oomph to get by. The brick/run after I just did a fast walk as my right hip is arguing with me about the need to run... again the small steps are helpful. I have practiced the "quick step" as of late...it too works. On Sunday Nancy an I met and did a short version of all three events we switched the order and saved the swim for last. How refreshing and invigorating.
