NY STATE FAIR -- Cornell University’s Food Science Department has named the winner in the State Fair’s Fluid Milk Quality Competition. Byrne Dairy’s Fresh Plant received a rating of 100 after a milk sample was evaluated for flavor, bacteria, butterfat, and freezing point.
Milk samples from 21 plants in New York State were collected and judged as part of the competition.
Byrne Dairy will be honored at an awards ceremony at the Fair Monday, August 29th as part of Dairy Day.
