YNN highlights the coolest and newest apps for your cell phone or mobile device in the twice-weekly segment “App Wrap.” YNN’s Adam Balkin filed the following report.
Don't Let the Pigeon Run this App!
If you're a parent of a young child there's a good chance you know Mo Willems’ pigeon pretty well. He's now invading iOS devices in “Don't Let the Pigeon Run this App!”
This app is different from so many other eBooks out there in that the pigeon actually doesn’t run the app entirely on his own but instead relies on you to help tell and create the stories.
It’s designed so that very young kids can use it. Stories can be made simply by shaking your device and therefore shaking the pigeon, or kids older than three or four can start choosing items that'll appear in the story and even read and record parts themselves. On top of that, the book's creator, Mo Willems, walks you through exactly how to draw the pigeon so that users can create stories with him away from the app if they want.
“Don't Let the Pigeon Run This App!” is for iOS devices only and costs $6.99.
