More than a thousand people packed a New Jersey Church to say goodbye to a music legend. Our Cheryl Wills tells us how Whitney Houston was remembered in Saturday's memorial service.

NEWARK, N.J. -- It was a foot-stomping handclapping service that Whitney Houston would have been proud of.

"She was born in Newark," said Rev. Kim Burrell.

"Whitney returns home today to the place where it all began, across the nation and around the world to dry our tears and suspend our sorrow and anger just long enough to remember the sweet miracle of Whitney," said Kevin Costner.

Actor and director Tyler Perry said, “The one thing I know for sure, Whitney Houston loved the lord."

Singer Alicia Keys said, “Whitney is an angel, she is an angel."

Clive Davis said, “Whitney lived music, Whitney loved music."

Singer Stevie Wonder said, “You will always be our ribbon in the sky, angel from God's choir of love."

Dionne Warwick, Houston’s cousin, said, “I'd like to dedicate something to nippy.”

This homegoing service was a celebration of an icon's life and legacy that will be remembered for years to come.
