CENTRAL NEW YORK -- American heart throb Davy Jones is dead less than two weeks after performing at the Turning Stone Resort and Casino in Verona.

The former teen idol had one of his last performances in Central New York on February 17.

A Florida medical examiner says Jones died of a heart attack Wednesday morning at age 66.

Jones' band, the Monkees, became popular in the 1960's, and toured on and off up until last summer. The Daydream Believer singer is most recently known for his performance on the 90's Brady Bunch spoof movie.
