SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse police are investigating a stabbing. It happened on the 700-block of Midland Avenue a little before 11 p.m. Friday.

Police said Timothy Sampson, 24, was stabbed in the torso. He was taken to Upstate University hospital, and officials say his injury is not life-threatening.
