ONONDAGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- Two women and a child were sent to the hospital after a head-on collision in Mattydale. It happened around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday on Route 11 near Edgemere Road.

Deputies were told by witnesses that Bethany Spier, 29, of Mattydale, was traveling south on Route 11 when she crossed the center line and hit Christine Whitney-Kemz, 33, of Camillus. Whitney-Kemz's four-year-old daughter was also in the car at the time of the crash.

All three sustained non-life threatening injuries, but the four-year-old girl suffered compound fractures. Officials say she was properly secured in a car seat at the time of the accident.

Deputies say the investigation is ongoing and tickets may be issued.
