Police investigate overnight shooting

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse police are investigating an overnight shooting. It happened on the 1300 block of Midland Avenue just before 1 a.m. Saturday.

Police said Sandul Sullivan, 33, was hit by a bullet while standing in the front room of the house. He was taken to Upstate University Hospital with an injury to his arm.

Investigators said the shot appears to have been fired from the street in front of the house.
