SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Kids in Syracuse got an early Easter treat. The city hosted its annual Easter egg hunt at Burnet Park Saturday.
More than 400 kids, ages two through ten, gathered eggs that they turned in for prizes. Organizers said the event gives kids a chance to enjoy the outdoors.
Mary Beth Roach, PIO Special Events City Parks said, “They're getting out in the fresh air, they're running around. The Easter bunny's here, they love to see the Easter bunny. So I hope that everybody's having a good time. That's what it's all about."
In addition to the regular prizes there were special eggs that gave kids an entry into a drawing for a new bicycle.
