UTICA, N.Y. -- A Utica man is accused of pulling a machete on an officer. Utica Police said one of their officers was at a residence on Kemble Street Saturday night, helping a man who was retrieving belongings from his old apartment. That's when the man's roommate allegedly pulled out a knife, pointed it at the officer and told him to get out. The officer drew his service weapon and the man dropped the knife.

Luke Harper, 28, was taken into custody. Police said he had another knife on him, which was confiscated. Harper is now facing several charges, including menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.
