WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. -- The Watkins Glen School Board has approved the district's budget for the 2012-2013 school year and it includes 15 teacher cuts.

The spending plan comes in at roughly $23.2 million, which is down $900,000 in expenditures from the current budget. There is also a tax rate increase of 30 cents per one thousand dollars of assessed property value.

District residents will vote on the budget May 15th.
