PULASKI, N.Y. -- One person was airlifted to the hospital following a crash in Oswego County. It happened just before 7:30 a.m. on Interstate 81 Northbound near exit 35, just south of Pulaski.
This picture was taken after the vehicle was towed from the scene.
Investigators say Najia Atif, 34, of Connecticut, lost control and went off the road. They say she then overcorrected, causing the SUV to go into the median and hit a tree.
Her husband, Anwar Atif, 35, had to be extricated and was flown to Upstate University Hospital.
Two children were also in the car at the time. The children and the driver were treated for injuries at the scene.
