UNITED STATES -- Gas prices are slowly creeping higher again. They are up four cents over the past two weeks, according to the latest Lundberg survey released this weekend. The survey found the national average is around $3.97.
Analysts said supply is up and crude prices are down, which both slow down increasing gas prices.
AAA reports the average price in New York state held steady all weekend at $414, 22 cents higher than the same time one year ago.
According to NewYorkGasPrices.com, people in Binghamton are paying anywhere between $3.99 to $4.15 a gallon. In Elmira, people are shelling out a bit more, with prices ranging from $4.03 to $4.19 a gallon.
