ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY, N.Y. -- An inmate with a history of violence attacked two corrections officers and a sergeant Monday at Bare Hill Correctional Facility in Malone.
Officials say Stephon Rucker was being frisked by the officers when he began punching them, hitting two in the face and a third in the chest.
This isn't the first time something like this has happened. Rucker has been charged with assaulting corrections officers three times in the last four years.
Last month, another Bare Hill officer was hospitalized after Rucker broke his jaw and eye socket. Before that incident, he sent another inmate to intensive care.
Officials say additional charges are expected to be filed for Monday's incident as well.
