ONEIDA COUNTY, N.Y. -- There is a water alert in place for some people who live in the Mohawk Valley. The Mohawk Valley Water Authority will be performing system upgrades today, starting at 8 a.m., on Whitesboro Street, Erie Street, and Schuyler Street.
The upgrades could cause discolored water and low pressure. There is no boil water advisory, but people are asked to check their water before drinking or doing laundry, and not to use hot water if their cold water is discolored.
The upgrades are expected to be complete by 3 p.m.
