SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Exactly one year to the day after 37 protestors were arrested for staging a "die-in" outside of Syracuse's Hancock Air Field, a group of people from around the state returned to the military base to deliver their message once again.

More than a hundred people marched Sunday to protest the use of unmanned aircrafts by the US Military. The coalition was told in advance that they would not be allowed on the grounds, but many still tested the limits, and wound up being taken away in handcuffs.

They said they were hoping to put up crime scene tape around the front of the base to demonstrate that the entire operation is a crime.

Protester, Rae Kramer said, “This notion that drone warfare is an exciting replacement to manned planes is a deception. In fact, what's happened is we are making more enemies, making the world less safe, including here at home."

Twenty-eight people in all were arrested Sunday, including the group's lawyer. They were all released on appearance tickets, with the exception of one protestor, who was charged with resisting arrest.
