FOXBORO, Mass. - Chandler Jones got to meet the Boston media for the first time Friday as the Patriots introduced their first round pick at Gillette Stadium. Jones said he wasn't expecting to go until the third round, and was pleasantly surprised when the defending AFC champs selected him with the 21st pick.
Jones currently projects as the starting right end on a Patriots defense that ranked in the middle of the pack last year. Jones is the first Syracuse player drafted in the first round since Dwight Freeney in 2002.
