Police searching for Ithaca McDonald's robbery suspects

ITHACA, N.Y. -- Ithaca police are searching for the suspects involved in a robbery at the McDonald's on Elmira Road Tuesday night.

Police said around 9 p.m., the suspect entered the fast food chain, displaying what appeared to be a gun concealed in a bag. The suspect got an undisclosed amount of cash before leaving in a SUV that was waiting in the parking lot. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as being at or above six feet tall and over 250 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with sunglasses and a purple bandana over his face.

The vehicle is described as a mid-sized SUV, possibly a JEEP.
