OCEAN CITY, M.D. -- Police in Maryland have found the body of a missing Tompkins County man. Lance Gaines, 22, of Groton was reported missing on April 21st while visiting Ocean City with his family.

Dozens of friends and family members went down to search for him, without success.

Tuesday night, Ocean City police got a report of a body in the bay near the area where Gaines had last been seen. The Coast Guard recovered the body, which was confirmed to be Gaines.

The cause of death has yet to be determined.
