Diesel-fueled engines have always been available in heavy-duty trucks, but manufacturers also offer them in a few compact and mid-size sedans, as well as some SUVs and hatchbacks. All modern diesel engines are turbocharged for increased power and very high fuel efficiency. Most diesel vehicles can go 6-700 miles on a tank of fuel. That’s impressive.
