CAYUGA COUNTY, N.Y. -- State police are asking for the public's help as they investigate a couple of suspicious fires in Cayuga County.

Police said both of the fires happened on East Lake Road in Owasco overnight Friday into Saturday. The first was at a cottage at the Owasco Yacht Club, and the second involved a utility trailer on the site of new residential construction.

The town fire department was able to get both fires out. Police are now asking anyone with information on either fire to give them a call at (315) 255-2767.
