NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. -- A favorite family hangout and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children are teaming up to remind parents to talk to their kids about some simple safety tips that could save their lives.

Chuck E. Cheese's across six states, including New York, are donating part of the money spent there on Friday to the Center. It's all in honor of National Missing Children's Day.

A cyclist from this year's Ride for Missing Children talked to parents at the New Hartford Chuck E. Cheese about the importance of taking just 25 minutes to relay some simple tips.

"It's repetition. You tell the children and hopefully with us and with the parents, taking a combination of the two, always letting them know about predators, I think that would be the best way we can get this across to the kids," said Joanna Premo, a cyclist and Rome resident.

Fifteen percent of customers' bills will go to support the center's work of distributing posters of missing children nationwide.
