LYSANDER, N.Y. -- Twenty different fire departments were called in to help battle a barn fire in the Town of Lysander. It happened just before 8:30 Friday night on Vann Road in the hamlet of Plainville.
Firefighters said the barn was fully involved when they got there. The structure, and several pieces of farm equipment inside, were destroyed, but no one was injured.
It took crews about an hour to knock down the flames. Then around 2:30 Saturday morning, crews returned to the barn after the fire rekindled.
The cause of the fire, and why it rekindled, is currently under investigation.
