Fans at Jets training camp have been buzzing about an exciting week of practice at SUNY Cortland. Three altercations among Jets players occurred on Monday and Tuesday. But as our Brad Vivacqua tells us, fans have mixed views on whether or not the fighting will impact the team.

CORTLAND, N.Y. -- For the first time in three days, there was no fighting among the players at Jets Camp. The team conducted practice for about three hours in front of about 1,000 fans.

Although practice was calm today, Jets fans were still talking about the recent altercations that took place both Monday and Tuesday. A 20-player melee broke out on Monday followed by two player fights on Tuesday.

Fans we spoke to have mixed views on whether or not the feuds will hurt the team on the field.

"Obviously they just want to get out and hit somebody. Getting ready to play Cincinnati on Friday, someone other than green and white, but you're going to have that in training camp though," said Bill Austin, a Jets fan.

"It can probably go both ways. I guess the coaches have to deal with that. It can either raise the spirits or could tear them apart," said another Jets fan, Alan Crooks.

Fans say, like the team, they're looking forward to when the Jets will play an actual opponent on the field. The team will get that chance when they travel to Cincinnati to take on the Bengals this Friday in their first pre-season game.

The Jets will be back in Cortland for an open practice this Sunday at 10:15 a.m.
