LIVERPOOL, N.Y. -- The Liverpool High School Marching Band wrapped up their season with a strong showing at a national competition. The Marching Warriors placed fourth in the US Bands National Championships in New Jersey.
The band members returned from the two-day event at MetLife Stadium Sunday night. They were greeted and congratulated by the Moyers Corners and Liverpool fire departments for their success.
Liverpool seniors in the band say this year's competition was a great way to end their high school career.
"You can't really ask for more and I think all the kids would say the same. With a huge class of seniors it's all for them, we gotta go out on a good note,” said Aidan Russo, Liverpool Senior Drum Major.
Liverpool was among 51 marching bands from across the northeast to compete in the championships.
