SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Central New York's Regional Economic Development Council is looking for more input from the public about investments that need to be made in the community.

The first two rounds of funding have produced close to $200 million for the region. That money has gone to 147 different projects. They have also started working with the Pathways through History Program, which Governor Andrew Cuomo recently created.

"This is really about driving people to historic sites in New York State, specifically getting them off the Thruway and into communities that have some history. Coming from Cayuga County, I know all about that full well. We've got some fantastic historic and cultural sites there,” said Andrew Fish, Executive Director of the Cayuga County Chamber and a member of the council.

Fish says they don't know what will happen in round three of the awards competition, but they're looking for input from more people in the community.
