DEWITT, N.Y. -- DeWitt police are investigating a fatal crash along Interstate 481. The accident happened a little after 7 a.m. just past the East Genesee Street on-ramp.

Authorities say a pickup truck being driven by Thomas Walker, 62, of Cazenovia went down the embankment and struck a group of trees. He was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

One lane was closed for several hours while crews reconstructed the scene.

There is no word on what caused the crash yet.
